Homework: Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Homework for all divisions:

Good readers create a picture in their heads or a movie in their minds of what is happening in the story.  Good writers write a story so that the reader can picture what is happening in their heads.

Pick one moment in the story we are reading.  Create a visual representation of that moment.  A visual representation can be an illustration, a collage, a drawing or a combination of these things.

It can be created on any paper you want, using any medium you want -- colored pencils, crayons, markers, clip art, magazine cut outs... use your creativity!

The goal is for me and your classmates to be able to name the moment from the story by looking at your illustration.  No words or text is necessary.
