Tips for success.

How to succeed in my classroom:

  1. Expect to have homework every day. Complete it and pass it in on time.
  2. Come prepared to class. Coming prepared means having:
  • Your agenda book
  • Something to write with
  • Your text book/novel
  • Your 3-ring binder
  • Your completed homework
  1. Always show respect.
  • ...to me, to yourself and to your classmates.
  • Speak politely and kindly to others.
  • Raise your hand.
  • No talking over others.
  • Use 12-inch voices during group work.
  • When an administrator comes on the loudspeaker, stop talking and listen.
  1. Leave the classroom the way you found it.
  • Push in your chair.
  • Pick up after yourself – put trash and recycling where they go. Don’t put trash in my desks.
  1. Don’t chew gum.
  2. Use your agenda books.
  3. If there is a substitute, show them the same respect you show me.
  4. If you are absent see me for the work you missed.
  • It is your responsibility to get the assignments you missed and to make them up within an agreed upon time frame.
  1. Put your name, your division and the date on all of your assignments.
  • Assignments without proper identification will be placed in the recycling bin.
